If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can't buy! - Proverb

Feeling rich is the first step to being rich, so if you want to be rich, do whatever you can to feel it.  How to go about doing so is exactly what this quote is about.  Counting all the things you have that money can't buy.  Another words, be extremely grateful for all you have now, especially the things that you didn't have to pay for.

Let's start counting, and since this is the beginning of a new year l will start with everything I can think of in 2010, once I'm done, stop reading and start writing your own list of things you are extreme grateful to have in your life, then email me so I know you've done it! ;-)

So for me, the things I'm grateful to have in 2010 that money can't buy are my children, my move to San Diego, my time with my kids and family on the East Coast, my mom who has cancer, time with my friends, yes especially the ones on Facebook, my passion for my life, wife, children, family, friends, and businesses, my love, my joys, my health, my wealth, my GOD in all things and all places, my goals, dreams, plans, and vision for myself, others, the world (there is much more I'm grateful for but let's just stop here).  Now yes this may seem a little bit abstract, but these things are REAL to me and I had them in 2010 and continue to be grateful to have them now in my life today, tomorrow and into the future God willing.  Now stop and write your own list...

<Pausing a moment so you can write now! :->

Anyways, these things I cannot buy, and when I count them up on a daily or regular basis, makes me feel rich inside.   Sure there are a lot of things I can and do buy but they really fall short of making me feel rich inside at least not for the long term.

For example, I own real estate properties that I bought but it doesn't make me feel rich, especially nowadays. I bought a new car and although I was excited and felt pretty rich for a few days or even weeks, it does not give me that long lasting, reassuring rich feeling I'm looking for.  I own businesses, didn't really buy it but could have, but buying it would not make me feel rich if I just bought it w/out putting all the work, time, energy into building, growing, and developing it on a day to day basis, this makes me feel rich, and you can't buy this level of experience with just money.

I think you get the point, which is don't think you will be rich when you make alot of money to buy you all the things you think will make you feel rich.  Instead, feel rich right now by counting all the things you already have in your life that money can't buy, then be extremely grateful for it, then slowly or maybe fast, you will begin to become rich in everything you do, go after, and want in life.
